Practical Information about Bosphorus Dinner Cruises

When it comes to dinner, there are typically two options available on a Bosphorus dinner cruise in Istanbul. You can enjoy either a buffet-style or a 3-course dinner.
Here are some common types of dishes that you might expect to find on board:

  • Starters/ Meze platters: Meze platters are a selection of small dishes, often served as appetizers. They are served cold or hot, often in combination with fish and rakı. They may include items such as dips, vegetables, seafood, cheeses, baked filled pastries, and more.
  • Main Dish: If you decide to go on a ship that offers a 3-course dinner, you usually can choose between grilled fish, meatballs or chicken. Sometimes there are also steak, vegetarian and seafood options. With an open buffet, you can choose from a wide variety of Turkish and international dishes to eat.
  • Salad: Seasonal salad
  • Dessert: Dessert options may include fresh fruit and traditional Turkish desserts, such as baklava.
  • Soft Drinks: Most cruises offer unlimited soft drinks.
  • Alcoholic beverages: Some cruises have no alcohol available, while others may have it available for an additional cost. Others offer an all-inclusive package with unlimited alcoholic beverages. If you choose a dinner cruise that offers alcoholic beverages, you can generally choose from a wide selection of beverages such as beer, wine, raki, and cocktails. Note that, as a rule, local brands are offered.
